Casa Biulú in Zipolite is the perfect spot for the digital nomad wanting to get some work done in beautiful surroundings.

Located just a five minute walk (downhill) to Zipolite beach – which word of warning is a Playa Nudista – although in reality clothing is optional rather than nude being obligatory – it’s also a really good surfer beach.

The rooms at Casa Biulú are spacious and thoughtfully decorated in bright Mexican designs. Each boasts a large private balcony – mine with great sea views and a hammock.

Wifi is strong, coffee and breakfast is free and there’s a big infinity pool you can do a good few lengths in to keep fit and cool down.

FYI It’s a little tricky to find and the bus station back to Oaxaca is at the bottom of the hill on the main road. Also I needed to settle my bill in cash and there are only two cash machines in Zipolite that don’t always work so pack some cash before you go.
